
LDS Scout Training
Buffalo Grove Illinois Stake
Basic Information on Training that is available through the Boy Scouts of America. Most training is provided by volunteers who are committed to help leaders provide the best possible program for the boys in their communities.
LDS Training Matrix lists the Boy Scout training sessions described above and links them to Scouting positions with additional key information about the training.
LDS Training Continuum is a PDF file that includes a description of the training and more detail about the LDS Church callings linked to corresponding BSA positions.
Wood Badge is the advanced training program for all Scout leaders (Cub Scout, Boy Scout, Varsity, and Venturing Leaders). Wood Badge is designed to train adult volunteer leaders, as well as Professional Scouters, using the latest leadership skills. Techniques and skills learned will help you become a better leader.
Little Philmont is training for local Church leaders who have responsibility for the Scouting program in their unit. It is provided by Priesthood leaders and may include instruction from a General Priesthood Authorities. Presentations primarily explain the Priesthood purpose of the Scouting programs.
